这里是偶找到的制作者有关这个模型的制作说明,看了一下还是很有些启发的地方,发上来供参考。因为与图片是分开的,所以无法对应图片说明。

Before starting construction of this model I collected many compass timbers from Aplle wood. I was waiting nearly 6 years. The wood became dry. Having working for several years ( two - three days a week) at the Central Naval Museum, the drawings were made, prepared from the original model.

Apple wood is very beautiful!
I find it in the gardens, using bicycle and hand-saw. It is very easy to notice dead wood on the apple-tree. It is without leafs. And the colour of this wood is brown. And among advantages of Apple wood in the gardens (instead of shops) is a possibility to choice the compass-timber for curved details. Now it is my style! I advice you to do the same! And you will get satisfaction!

I prepared 45 frames, using compass-timber where it was necessary!
It looks like very realistic! And beautiful.

According with original model the same frames were made on my model with the help of special "V" - surface board.

Then I started to collect the frames on the special "dock-yard".

All my frames, exept the middle section were made with additional thickness. They were not moulded from the beginning. I did it later.

On the original model the distances between frames are not the same. I don't know why?
And I repeted tha same distances on my copy-model.

Pay attention: there are no distances between hawse-pieces! They appeared later! In 18 century! And we have 1682!

Imagine! It was rather difficult to penetrate inside the ready original model in order to understand the internal constructions of all the details of the hull! And I used special small mirrors and lanterns! For example: Try to penetrate to the bottom here!

Here the bitts and anckor-knees are made not from Apple, but from Kumier (very beautiful wood from Malasia)

On the original model the pomps were lost. But I discovered a traces of them on the bottom...
Here they were fixed.
